Farmer Dies In Accident
Lampman (Special) Cecil Earl McCurdy, 50, a district farmer, was killed in a combine accident on his farm about eight miles north of here at 9 P.M. Thursday. He was found by Ken Trachsel who was hauling grain from the combine a few minutes after the accident.
Mr. Trachsel said he believed Mr. McCurdy had stopped to put a gear on the pick up in front of the combine, when it slipped into gear and ran over him. He found Mr. McCurdy about 100 yards behind the machine which was still in operation. Dr. Brian Bowers of Lampman was called.
Besides his wife, Mr. McCurdy is survived by six children.
Lampman is 17 miles northeast of Estevan, 115 miles southeast of Regina.

Lampman Man Killed
Cecil Earl McCurdy of Lampman, born November 5, 1915, was killed in a fatal accident when a combine on which he was making adjustments accidentally slipped into gear and ran over him. The accident took place nine and one half miles north of Lampman at 8:45 P.M.
The deceased is survived by his wife and six children.
Dr. Weibe was the coroner. No inquest will be held.
