Irene Joyce McCurdy
SPECIAL ATTENTION
" I, Irene, suffer from a rare type of tumor called PHEOCHROCYTOMA and have had several major operations. This tumor is very, very hard to diagnose, and even worse if it is not known to exist in the family. Some of the symptoms include: high blood pressure, rapid pulse and severe headaches. If any relative, no matter how distant, suffers from these symptoms PLEASE have your doctor check for this tumor.
This tumor is just now under research and is believed to be hereditary. the critical ages to watch for it are ages 12 through 30.
The survival rate, if caught early enough is 99%. If through printing this helps educate one person I will be happy.
PLEASE watch for these symptoms and see your doctor if any are present. If it ever shows up in the family again hopefully it will be caught early enough, Unlike my case,"
Submitted by Irene very shortly before she passed away.
It was her hope that should this show up in the family again that it might save someone elses life.
