April 28, 1971 at Calgary, Alberta. MR. James Leslie Gordon of 1813 9th St. S.W., Calgary, Alta and formerly of Medicine Hat. Mr. Gordon is survived by three daughters; Mrs. R. A. (Mildred) Baillod of Vanguard, Sask. Mrs. C. H. (Frances) Dowling and Mrs. S. K. (Shirley) McWalter of Calgary, Alta. Six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a sister Mrs. J. R. (Grace) Laws of Ridgetown, Ontario. Mr. Gordon was born in Higate, Ontario on March 8, 1886. He married Miss Catherine Peters in 1912 and they operated grocery stores in Sask., Manitoba and Ontario. They moved to Medicine Hat in retirement in 1952 and Mrs. Gordon predeceased him in 1968. Mr. Gordon then moved to Calgary where he resided until his passing. Mr. Gordon was an ardent curler until his latter years. Dr. D. Bruce Johnson will conduct the funeral service in Pattison's "Chapel on the Corner" on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will follow in the family plot, Hillside Cemetery.
